In response to recent media coverage the trustees of Tara Yoga Centre wish to make the following statement:

Tara Yoga Centre is a registered charity and non-profit organisation operating exclusively in the United Kingdom. We manage our activities independently and autonomously, in full compliance with UK laws and regulations. As a charity, we adhere strictly to the Charity Commission’s guidelines, ensuring strong governance and accountability in all our actions.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone. We apply strict safeguarding policies that ensure emotional and physical consent, as well as clearly defined social boundaries in our classes and activities, all in accordance with UK law. We unequivocally condemn any form of abuse and actively teach against it in all our courses and activities. Sexualised behaviour or misconduct is not tolerated.

Membership and participation in our organisation is entirely voluntary. Members are free to discontinue their involvement at any time.

We are dedicated to continuous improvement and welcome feedback from all participants. Safeguarding and complaints policies are consistently implemented and practised across all workshops, retreats, and festivals. Feedback forms are regularly collected to ensure that we maintain and, wherever possible, improve the quality of what we provide to our members.

Finally, we wish to make it absolutely clear that any allegations against Tara Yoga and its trustees that have been referred to in certain media channels are strenuously denied.
