Inner Alchemy – Transforming your inner world ~ Oxford
Book NowSuffering is an inherent aspect of human life. We have all experienced moments of anger, frustration, loss, despair, sadness. What if we could turn those moments into unique opportunities for personal growth and transformation.
The idea of inner alchemy refers to the transformative process of cultivating and refining one’s inner energies – emotional, mental, and spiritual—in order to achieve balance, self-mastery, and deep spiritual transformations.
Rooted in both Eastern traditions (particularly Tantra, Yoga and Taoism) and Western esoteric practices, inner alchemy focuses on the inner landscape of the individual rather than external elements. In the way the alchemists of medieval times sought to purify matter to obtain gold, the inner alchemist seeks to purify their internal world—removing impurities in the form of limiting beliefs, emotional patterns, habitual emotional responses and karmic imprints – turning the “lead” of base human tendencies into the “gold” of spiritual awakening.
In this workshop we will focus on three main aspects of inner alchemy – energy transformation, emotional transformation and spiritual purification.
What you will learn in this workshop:
- The secret of resonance – the energy that continuously maintains energies, emotions and beliefs.
- How to increase awareness and change the way we see each situation and experience
- Basic principles of transforming “lead into gold” – working with the fundamental emotions, shifting the experience from suffering to happiness.
- Knowledge of the fundamental ‘poisons’ from the yogic tradition – The 5 negative mental patterns that obscure our true nature and block our spiritual growth.
- The value of virtues – instant means of alchemising suffering into happiness and fulfilment

Edrisa began her spiritual journey in 2016, following an intuition that there is much more to life, and by curiously applying the Tantric and yogic teachings she quickly and profoundly transformed her life. After a year of intense daily practice, Edrisa began to feel a strong desire to help others discover their own spiritual revelations. She has organised spiritual theatre groups, and women’s circles that focused on awakening femininity and the art of initiatic dance. Edrisa is fascinated by the potential each one of us holds within, and she is keen to help others find the spiritual meaning in their life. She enjoys both stepping into the intensity of life and savouring it in all its nuances, as well as retreating into silence in nature, where she can contemplate the essence of creation in its utmost simplicity.
