Join us for our annual sunrise Yang Spiral Meditation on the summer solstice, in the mystical solar temple of Stonehenge

Greet the dawn of the longest day of the year in a unique spiral meditation. We will focus the huge energies of these important meditations to assist in the reawakening of the consciousness of humanity, and of genuine spirituality in the world.

As part of our ongoing spiritual activities, Tara Yoga Centre has been organising Yang Spiral Meditations at the ancient stone circle of Stonehenge for over 20 years, and this year we will return once again to this special location on the summer solstice.

The stone circles at Stonehenge was erected around 3000 BC. Each monument was a circular structure, aligned with the rising of the sun on the solstice.

But Stonehenge is much more than its physical presence. The huge stones mark one of the strongest energetic points on the planet where an upwards energetic vortex rises from the earth. This impressive stone structure was probably built for ceremonies and rituals connected with the earth and sun energies.

As we have experienced during our meditations inside the stone circle, a vortex of intense and refined telluric energy rises from the centre of the stones.

During the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, when the Earth is under the longest exposure to the sun, this intense manifestation of telluric energy is polarised by the powerful energy of the sun.

When this strong telluric energy is combined with the beneficial astrological moment of the solstice, and with the meditation that is done in the special formation of a Yang Spiral, an opportunity is created for a powerful meditation experience.

The intention for this meditation will be to focus the huge energies of this special place and time to assist in the reawakening of the consciousness of humanity, and of genuine spirituality in the world.

We welcome anyone who has the aspiration to live and experience the elevated feelings and high states of consciousness that can manifest during this meditation, to this exceptional spiritual event!

The spiral is a unique form of meditation where we stand holding hands. It is formed in an anti-clockwise direction, which focuses the yang energy towards the centre. So the idea of this spiral meditation is to increase the yang energy, and so to amplify focus and awareness.

What is a Yang Spiral Meditation?

The Yang Spiral Meditation is a distinctive group meditation technique designed to harness and amplify yang, solar, dynamic energy through collective resonance. Participants form a counterclockwise spiral, with men and women alternating, according to the sequence of the 12 zodiac signs of the participants. This configuration facilitates a powerful flow of energy for enhanced personal transformation and spiritual effects.

Participants have shared many beautiful effects such as heightened states of consciousness, profound insights, healing and inner balance.

Core Concepts:

  • Yin-Yang Balance: The meditation aims to counteract the prevailing yin (passive, receptive) imbalance in modern society by cultivating yang qualities such as awareness, vitality, clarity, and inner strength.
  • Astrological Alignment: Positioning participants by zodiac sign activates the energetic qualities associated with each sign, which participants are then able to tune into and assimilate, giving a feeling of becoming a complete human being with all qualities and attributes.
  • Energetic Flow: The spiral’s counterclockwise formation generates a centripetal energy vortex, drawing participants’ consciousness inward toward a central point of unity and higher awareness.
  • Collective energy: By meditating in unison, transformative effects way beyond what each person would be able to do on his/her own, and even far beyond the sum of the individuals participating is created.
  • A strong elevation and sublimation of your inner energy due to increased energetic balance. The inner balance of energies can be felt as a feeling of inner light, happiness, love and joy that is spontaneous and free.
