Maria started her journey of self-discovery through Yoga and Tantra in 2001 – a journey that started in Denmark and took her to both Thailand and India. She has been with Tara in London as coordinating teacher since 2009, teaching Yoga, Tantra and meditation, and facilitating women’s groups, and running workshops and retreats on various topics. Through her own practice Maria has discovered how, in accordance with universal principles and laws, each life experience has its own purpose and significance on the path to the realisation of the Self. The fundamental aspects of this journey include erotic fulfilment, and fully enjoying the beauty and sensual pleasures of this world while centring more and more in our true nature. Maria’s style of teaching is practical and approachable, expresses a deep understanding gained through personal experience and is animated by a great joy of life.

Kirsty moved to London in 2017, as part of a search for more to life in a seemingly chaotic world. She soon discovered Tantra and an in-depth approach to spirituality, which began to bring coherence to both her inner and outer worlds. Since then, Kirsty’s passion and enthusiasm for practising yoga and meditation and applying the Tantric tools in her life has been a continuous endeavour. And, through a deeper understanding of femininity, Kirsty realised the importance both of becoming a spiritual woman and the beauty of being a woman.
On finding a deeper meaning to life, Kirsty also gained an aspiration to share the Tantric methods and teachings with others, in the hope that their lives would be enriched, as her own life has been.

Inka has been on her spiritual journey for over 15 years, practising various modalities. However, none of them could fully answer her curious nature and the questions she felt within nor offered the tools and techniques for accessing higher levels of consciousness, deeper corners of her spiritual heart and awakening her own beautiful femininity and sensuality. Until she came across Esoteric Integral Yoga and authentic Tantra 8 years ago when she committed to the path of transformation working on awakening the State of Shakti.
Absolutely fascinated by the mysterious feminine nature and women themselves, Inka now uses all her knowledge and experience to guide other women on their journey of spiritual evolution towards happiness.

Edrisa began her spiritual journey in 2016, following an intuition that there is much more to life, and by curiously applying the Tantric and yogic teachings she quickly and profoundly transformed her life. After a year of intense daily practice, Edrisa began to feel a strong desire to help others discover their own spiritual revelations. She has organised spiritual theatre groups, and women’s circles that focused on awakening femininity and the art of initiatic dance. Edrisa is fascinated by the potential each one of us holds within, and she is keen to help others find the spiritual meaning in their life. She enjoys both stepping into the intensity of life and savouring it in all its nuances, as well as retreating into silence in nature, where she can contemplate the essence of creation in its utmost simplicity.

There is no specific ‘Tara’ demographic – we have all ages and backgrounds meeting in the common space of the heart. It is a huge relief for many to find a community where we can go beyond small talk and share profound and meaningful experiences, lived from the heart, that help us to feel present, connected and to understand ourselves better. It is always a wonderful inspiration to see the transformation of our friends and share our insights: this heartful experience of togetherness propels us forward on our spiritual journey.
